Understanding the collective nervous system and how we can support the needs of future generations
But there is another way. We can choose to stay connected while remaining grounded, present, and resilient. This enables us to be an active participant in what's happening in the world, and help others who are experiencing stress and anxiety.
Each of us is part of the overall health of the collective nervous system. And as we each undergo our own healing and inner work, we influence the larger collective field. We also become role models for our community and can help those we work with move toward greater integration and healing at all levels.
It is not a simple problem to solve. But by becoming aware of how separate parts and unconscious layers of individual, ancestral, and collective trauma intertwine — and disconnect — we can begin to amplify the healing of ourselves and the collective.
As part of the discussion, we will also introduce you to a self-paced course with Thomas that applies his healing framework to present-day collective challenges that individuals and practitioners are facing.
Thomas Hübl, PhD, is a renowned teacher, author, and international facilitator who works within the complexity of systems and cultural change, integrating the core insights of the great wisdom traditions and mysticism with the discoveries of science. Since the early 2000s, he has led large-scale events and courses on the healing of collective trauma.
He is the author of Attuned: Practicing Interdependence to Heal Our Trauma—and Our World and Healing Collective Trauma: A Process for Integrating Our Intergenerational and Cultural Wounds. He has served as an advisor and guest faculty for universities and organizations, as a coach for CEOs and organizational leaders, and is currently a visiting scholar at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University.
